For many years the huge steel structure was a talking point for Christmas revellers and was switched on each year for charity by celebrities including Coronation Street star Johnny Briggs who played Mike Baldwin. Now Jim is prepared to give away the structure to any community group who will donate €1,000 in aid or food to the refugee crisis in Syria.Jim said last night “Right folks , as the owner of the world’s largest artificial Christmas tree, situated in Mary Deeneys car park in Muff, I am willing to give this tree to any community group or village in Inishowen, that in return will buy 1000 euro of food or medical supplies for the stranded refugee children that are in dire straits at the minute.”Jim was inundated with good will messages on social media for his gesture. He also recently promised to donate a calf to a couple in the Midlands whose herd had been stolen by rustlers and encouraged others to do the same.BUSINESSMAN TO GIVE AWAY WORLD’S BIGGEST CHRISTMAS TREE TO HELP REFUGEES was last modified: September 4th, 2015 by StephenShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:Christmas TreedonegalJim McLaughlinMary Deeneysmufflast_img read more
