The slogan is written in the Hills to make drivers aware of their responsibility.” She said that recently she met a couple who would go on a world tour to propagate the Safe Drive Save Life slogan to create awareness in different countries.”I was really happy when they told me that they would carry the Safe Drive Save Life slogan along to create awareness.” She urged the owners of television channels to have a programme on the subject to create awareness among the commoners. Moreover, fatalities due to road accidents have also gone down by 18 percent in the same period of time. In the programme “Jai Ho” of Kolkata Police, this year the theme was “Manusher Sathe” (With the People). There were various programmes based on the theme including a dance performance in which around 39 police personnel participated. Family members of the rank and file of Kolkata Police were present at the event that is organised every year since the change of guard in the state.last_img
